By popular demand, Lynn created a slide show of the parade fun- the library bookcart drill team is available for hire at private parties...
Flathead County Library System was proud to sponsor the 2008 Bookcart Drill Team in the Northwest Montana Fair Parade on Friday. The team featured Miss Piggy, a farmer to keep everyone in line, the pigs with straw, stick and brick houses, and the Big Bad Wolf. We even had the Little Bad Wolf! Hmmm...do you suppose he is in training? We hope that everyone who watched the parade had as much fun as those who marched!

I recognize Brett, but who's the other man?
Stewart Harvey, the Foundation director
**Administrators note**
This is not the forum to make snide remarks about Library or Foundation employees. If you have a BEEF with an animal from the parade- take it up with the Library Board. Please keep rude comments off the blog.
It's not censorship- as the administrator, I, Brett Fisher, delete all derogatory remarks, profanity, spam comments, etc. The purpose of the blog is to provide CONSTRUCTIVE comments. I want to keep the Anonymous option of commenting open because it can foster helpful feedback, positive or negative. We appreciate all constructive comments.
I think this was a great and well put together parade. Its nice to see the library involved in the community on a personal level despite the opinons of some!!!
Let's see if I have it right. It's OK for Harvey to malign and vilify respectable citizens. It's OK for Crowley to demonstrate her approval of Harvey by inviting him to participate in a library sponsored Fair parade entry on Main Stree Kalispell. It's OK to make complimentary remarks about Harvey and Crowley. However, it's not OK to make remarks about Harvey and Crowley that are not effusively complimentary. If you do, the Crowley Censor will delete them asap. Scary, isn't it?
No, you don't have it right. It's not okay for anyone to malign or vilify anyone on this blog. If you have an issue with a library employee, excluding the director- this should be taken up with the director. If you have an issue with the director of the library or the foundation, this should be taken up with the board. While flattered that you think the blog will resolve the issue, sadly, it does not yet wield that power.
